About Hey Nouri
Hey Nouri is a virtual pediatric weight care clinic helping kids and families build healthier habits and improve their health.
We combine clinical care with a digital product that helps kids make small changes every day around food, movement, sleep, and other healthy habits.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to own a big part of that experience, with a particular focus on gamification, engagement, and habit formation.
The Role
We want to make healthy habits fun for kids.
You’ll figure out how we use things like points, streaks, missions, challenges, rewards, levels and other game mechanics to get kids engaged and, more importantly, keep them engaged over time.
We’re looking for someone who has built consumer products people use frequently and understands what makes a great engagement loop. Experience in gaming, kids’ apps, education, fitness, or other habit forming products is a big plus.
You’ll work closely with design and engineering and have a lot of ownership. This is not a role where you write specs and hand them over. We want someone who has strong opinions about the product, talks to users, looks at the data, gets into the details with design and engineering, ships quickly, and keeps improving what we build.
What You’ll Do
• Own key parts of the Nouri app, particularly our kids experience
• Build and improve our gamification system including points, streaks, missions, rewards, challenges, progression and more
• Figure out what actually gets kids to come back and build habits over time
• Work closely with design and engineering from idea through launch
• Talk to kids and parents and use their feedback to shape the product
• Look at engagement, retention and behavioral data to understand what’s working
• Run experiments and iterate quickly
• Work with our clinical team to turn health goals into experiences that are simple and engaging for kids
• Help us build a great product culture as the team grows
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of product management experience
• Strong consumer product experience, ideally mobile
• Experience with gaming, gamification, kids’ products, or habit forming products
• A track record of building products that improved engagement or retention
• Strong product and UX instincts. You care about the details and know when something doesn’t feel right
• Comfortable working closely with engineers and getting into technical discussions
• Comfortable with data and experimentation
• Fast, practical and happy working in an early stage environment
• Someone who likes shipping rather than spending weeks debating what to ship
Experience at a gaming company or a product like Duolingo, Roblox, ClassDojo, Khan Academy Kids, Greenlight, Finch, or another highly engaging consumer app would be particularly relevant.
Why Hey Nouri
You’ll join at an early stage and have a lot of influence over what we build and how we build it.
The problem we’re trying to solve is hard: how do you get a kid to genuinely want to build healthier habits every day?
If you’ve spent your career thinking about engagement, games, kids, or why people keep coming back to products they love, we’d like to talk to you.
